Lawnmower not working Help?
Well I was told to mow my lawn and well it needed more gas so I put more and then I turned it. I Started to mow but then the lawnmower was making a squeaky noise and then it started to power down and it turned off. well checked the gas still had it and now I checked the oil and will smoke was in the oil place so I checked the oil and nothing was on the dipstick and so I put some oil and the oil was scattered on the dipstick. So can you guys help me I don't want to call my dad and make him mad because we just got this lawn mower its a Toro recycler, it doesn't require any prime so I hope you guys help me.
Well I found that when I pull down the blade lever and pull its like something is stuck or something and I don't know why so can you guys help me!!
I can pull the rope but when I pull it gets pulled a little bit and then locks and then I can't do anything so I let go and the rope goes back.
Are you able to pull the start rope, or is it locked so you can't pull it? If you ran it without oil it could be burned up for good. Another possibility is that a rope or wire wrapped around the shaft to the blade. Sometimes a mower will suck up a piece of rope or wire and wrap it tightly around the motor shaft. That can lock the engine.
If quite a bit of smoke came out of the oil dipstick hole I am thinking the engine is burned up. There should not be smoke coming out of that hole. I would have discussed this with you on email, but your email is closed.
